The paraphrasing trap

Imagine a paragraph that opens with "In today's rapidly evolving landscape," follows with three sentences of roughly equal length, and closes with "In conclusion, it is clear that..." A humanizer might change "rapidly evolving landscape" to "fast-changing environment" and "it is clear that" to "it is evident that." The detector score might drop a few points. But the writing is still bad for the same reasons it was bad before: no specificity, flat rhythm, structural boilerplate. The humanizer changed the paint. The house is still the same shape.
